Challenge Rules

What is the maximum stake per pick?

Stake limits depend on your account size. On $1,000 and $2,500 accounts, the maximum stake is 5% of the account per pick. Larger accounts have fixed dollar ranges: $20 to $100 on $5,000, $25 to $200 on $10,000, $50 to $500 on $25,000 and $100 to $1,000 on $50,000. Stake limits stop a single result from deciding your challenge, so many bettors stake well below the maximum.

What is the maximum daily loss?

Every BetFunder challenge has a maximum daily loss of 10%, whatever the format. On a $5,000 account that is $500 in a single day. Losing more than the daily limit in one day ends the challenge. Treat the limit as the line that ends a challenge, not a budget to spend. Many disciplined bettors set their own daily stop at 3% to 4% so the platform limit is never in play.

Who is eligible to take a BetFunder challenge?

You must meet the minimum legal age requirement (18+), live in a location where BetFunder permits participation, provide accurate registration details and act on your own behalf. You must not be prohibited from participating under applicable laws or BetFunder policies. Using a VPN or other tool to misrepresent your location may violate the terms. Check the Eligibility page before you buy, and ask support if you are unsure about your location.

What happens if I break a risk rule?

A challenge ends if your account falls below the maximum overall loss, you lose more than the daily limit in one day, you break a stake rule or any other condition in the terms, or you run out of time before reaching the target. Risk rules also apply on a funded account. If a challenge ends, you can buy a new one and start again. Review your log to see whether sizing, selection or discipline caused it.

What is the maximum overall loss?

The maximum overall loss is the furthest your account can fall before the challenge ends. It is 15% on 1-Phase challenges and 20% on 2-Phase and 3-Phase challenges. For example, on a $5,000 1-Phase challenge, 15% is $750, so the account cannot go below $4,250. Keeping each pick to around 1% of the account gives you room to survive a normal losing streak inside this limit.

How long do I have to complete a challenge?

You have 30 days to complete each phase. A 1-Phase challenge therefore has one 30-day window, while 2-Phase and 3-Phase challenges give you 30 days for each phase. Running out of time before you reach the target ends the challenge. Plan your pace from day one: a rushed pick late in the month that breaks a loss limit costs you the fee and all the progress you made.

Do the rules change with account size?

The profit targets, the maximum overall loss, the 10% maximum daily loss and the 30-day time limit per phase depend on the format you choose, not on the account size. What changes with size is the fee and the stake limits per pick: 5% on $1,000 and $2,500 accounts, and fixed dollar ranges on $5,000 to $50,000 accounts. Because the rules scale with the account, the skills you build on a small account carry over.

Betting Restrictions

How do I request a payout?

First, complete your challenge by meeting the evaluation targets without breaking any risk rule. Your results and rule compliance are then reviewed, and if everything checks out your funded account is activated. Use the funded account within the applicable rules to build eligible profits. Once you are eligible, submit a payout request and follow the verification and payment process. Funded payouts can be requested every 14 days.

What are the challenge rules?

Every challenge has five core rules. You must reach the profit target for each phase, stay above the maximum overall loss, lose no more than 10% in a single day, keep each pick within the stake limits for your account size, and finish each phase within 30 days. Targets and overall loss limits depend on the format you choose. You can see every rule for your exact account in the configurator on the Challenges page before you pay.

How much of the profit do I keep?

BetFunder offers up to an 80% profit split on eligible profits from a funded account. For example, if a funded account gains $1,200 in eligible profit during a payout cycle, an 80% split would give you $960. If the account loses money in a cycle, there is nothing to pay out for that cycle. Payouts depend on staying within the rules and meeting the payout criteria in the terms.

How often can I request a payout?

Funded payouts are available every 14 days. To request one, your funded account must have eligible profit and you must have stayed within the rules and met the payout criteria in the terms. After you submit a request, it goes through the verification and payment process before it is paid. Check the current conditions on our Rules & FAQ page before you plan around a payout date.

Is a payout guaranteed once I pass?

No. Passing an evaluation does not promise or guarantee any specific earnings. Payouts are based on the eligible profit your funded account generates, and they depend on staying within the rules and meeting the payout eligibility and verification requirements. A cycle with no profit has nothing to pay out. Treat a challenge as entertainment rather than a source of income, and only pay a fee you can afford to lose.

Evaluation Requirements

What account sizes does BetFunder offer?

BetFunder offers six account sizes: $1,000, $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, $25,000 and $50,000. Each size is available as a 1-Phase, 2-Phase or 3-Phase challenge. The fee and the stake limits per pick scale with the account size, while the profit targets and loss limits are percentages that depend on the format. Many bettors start with a smaller account to learn how the rules feel, then size up after passing.

How much does each challenge cost?

Fees depend on account size and format. 1-Phase: $39, $69, $119, $199, $399 and $699 for the $1,000, $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, $25,000 and $50,000 accounts. 2-Phase: $29, $49, $89, $149, $299 and $499. 3-Phase: $19, $35, $59, $99, $199 and $349. Each fee is a one-time payment. Multi-phase challenges cost less because they take longer to pass. Check the configurator on the Challenges page for your exact selection.

What challenge formats are available?

BetFunder offers three formats. 1-Phase has one 20% profit target and a 15% maximum overall loss. 2-Phase has a 15% target, then a 10% target, with a 20% maximum overall loss. 3-Phase has three consecutive 10% targets with a 20% maximum overall loss. All formats have a 10% maximum daily loss and 30 days per phase. More phases means smaller targets, more room on the overall loss limit and a lower fee, but a longer road.

Is the challenge fee refundable?

Refunds are handled under the BetFunder Refund Policy. It says refunds may be granted for service issues, billing errors or other valid reasons, and that refunds are not issued for services already rendered. Promotional purchases may have different refund conditions, and verification may be needed to process a request. Only pay a fee you can afford to lose. For questions about a specific transaction, contact support@betfunder.com and read the Refund Policy before you buy.

What is a simulated account and how does it work?

BetFunder challenges run on simulated accounts. BetFunder is not a casino, sportsbook or gambling operator and does not accept or place wagers. Your picks are tracked with virtual Profit Points, which simulate theoretical results based on real-time odds from established sportsbooks. Rewards are based on your performance inside the challenge under the published rules, not on real-money wagering. Your only cost is the one-time challenge fee.

Which challenge format should I choose?

It depends on your style. 1-Phase is the fastest route, with a single 20% profit target, but it has the tightest overall loss limit at 15% and the highest fee. 2-Phase and 3-Phase challenges split the goal into smaller targets, give you a 20% overall loss limit and cost less, but take longer because each phase has its own 30-day limit. Compare all formats and sizes in the configurator on our Challenges page before you buy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What fees does BetFunder charge?

BetFunder charges a one-time challenge fee, and the amount depends on the account size and format you choose. A 1-Phase challenge costs $39 for a $1,000 account, $69 for $2,500, $119 for $5,000, $199 for $10,000, $399 for $25,000 and $699 for $50,000. 2-Phase and 3-Phase challenges cost less for each size. The exact fee for your selection is shown in the configurator on the Challenges page and in the checkout summary before you pay.

Can I use my own betting strategy with BetFunder?

Yes. BetFunder is built for bettors who already have a process, so you make your own picks on the sports and markets you know best. Every strategy has to work inside the published rules for your challenge: the profit target, the maximum daily loss, the maximum overall loss, the stake limits per pick and the 30-day time limit per phase. Read the challenge rules and terms before you start so you know which strategies are permitted.

Do I need to deposit my own bankroll?

No. You do not deposit a bankroll with BetFunder. You pay a one-time challenge fee, and your picks are made on a simulated account sized from $1,000 to $50,000. Your financial exposure is the challenge fee, not the account balance. If you pass and move to a funded account, you can earn a share of eligible profits. Only pay a challenge fee you can comfortably afford to lose.

How can I track my performance?

Your BetFunder account lets you review your selections, outcomes and progress toward the profit target. The platform shows your progress and drawdown so you can see how close you are to the daily and overall loss limits, and the rules for your challenge are visible before every pick. We also recommend keeping your own log of each pick, including the odds, stake and result, so you can review your process every few days.

How do I contact BetFunder support?

You can reach the BetFunder team through the contact form on our Contact page. Choose the inquiry topic, add your account or challenge reference if you have one, and describe what you need. We reply by email. You can also write to support@betfunder.com.
